These layouts were done for 101 for the Boys a Piggy Tales class. I loved the instructor for this class but was a little disappointed in the product that we used. Instead of using the patterned paper side we used the solid color instead. Another thing I was disappointed in was there chipboard not wanting to stick. I even used a different liquid adhesive on it to help it stick and that didn't work. So know I have used Zip Dry and hopefully the chipboard elements will stay down on my page. Hoping to get a few more of my classes layouts posted later in the week. Thanks for looking..

So far everything is going great. I won a Door Prize thru CKC $15 for Tattered Angels... I also won 2 more door prizes 1 was for a ckc mag which lucky I didn't have another was for some mat board. I will post later about my classes fixing to go grab something to eat before the Friday night crop.

I got my scrap bags packed and ready to go. I think I have remembered everything that I will need. I have packed extra adhesive, inks, wipes, pens, trimmer, corner punch, distresser, and hole puncher. Plus a lot of other stuff. I just remember I didn't get my crop a dile have to pack that.

Now I just need to get my clothes all packed. Get some more tolietry stuff from walmart. Plus get headache medicine and a few other things along that line in case I get sick from something. I hope not I want to have fun this weekend. I am so excited about getting to go this weekend to Tulsa CKC. I hope that it is fun and everything falls in place and nothing turns sour.

Because after this it is back to Subbing on Mon-Wed (if I can't get OT at my regular job) than working my regular Job Thursday-Saturday. I still need to finish paying off a few more bills before the year is out and start putting some money aside for a vacation next year with the kids.

Vacation

I got 4 layouts done for the SAS Crop but I haven't uploaded them yet being lazy. So nice being on vacation and away from work. Today I spent cleaning and I got to scrap a little. Me and Tracie (DD) watched the Producers on Netflix it was very funny. Hard to believe school starts in just 2 days.

Than Friday morning I leave out for Tulsa CKC I am excited. But I wish if I had known before I had planned this that I might have been able to go to LP retreat because it is the same weekend. At least I could have met a few of the girls from the board. I think with the economy and maybe the time of the year a lot of the girls were not able to make it like they have in years past. ;[....

I hope that maybe next year can be the year that I can do something like that which is go on a retreat to meet the LP girls.

I am still happy that I am getting to go to CKC in Tulsa. I have worked my behind off the last two months at work to save some money for this trip, plus school clothes and other things for the kids. I say it know but getting there might be different. I don't plan on spending a lot of money in the vendor faire. I do want to get a couple of tshirts. I am going to the Friday night crop which I have been to the Saturday night crop and it is a little tamer. I hope that Phillip doesn't get bored and it will be fun to have him with me.

Well acid reflux is at the moment I feel like I have something right in my throat wanting to crawl out no other way than that to describe. I think it got so bad because Sunday and Monday I was stressing majorly bad. Sunday a fellow co-worker was doing her normal. well the supervisor kept looking for her. Well I am her mechanic so naturally he is going to come up to me and say and ask where she is. Well the third time he went looking she was in her section but he didn't see her well anyway she comes down to my section and jumps my butt and wants to know why I am tattling on her. Well I didn't tattle on her he just had it out for her that day. Which is how weird this guy is I told her back heck if I was telling on you I think I would have done it already. Well she is that person in your place of work that you dont want mad at you. She is the one that will slash your tires, kill your dog, ( well she might not go that far) but she is a scary individual. I know grow some balls. Which by the way brings me to Monday when I should have had my balls on that day.

Monday ;[... Well I am the only women at my plant that is a mechanic. Back 20 years ago when I hired in they had some in a couple of other departments but never in mine but needless to say the ones that used to be mechanics have all retired. So I am the lone female mechanic in a sea of mostly male pigs (sorry if that is harsh) but our plant shut down for 12 hours of cleaning which I didn't care if I was cleaning because I was on overtime because Monday is not my normal day to work. Well since we were down they had this gentlemen come in to do some warrenty work on a conveyor system we have and seeing how it was in my section that I was working I thought yes I am going to get to work with him and see how this should work and get some pointers from him. But guess what I say to the supervisor on the shift you want me working with him. He replys NO WE NEED YOU CLEANING MORE.. WTF.. So I go okay. Instead they put the Preventive Maintance Jerk with him that doesn't know crap about anything because he is one of those individuals that has worked there for 20+ years that has gotten away with doing mostly nothing. Heck he was caught sleeping last week and nothing was done to him. Anyway so I go around feeling pretty pissy and upset because I don't get to do my job and get to fix things and work on things but instead I am cleaning while the other male mechanics were getting to go around and fix things.

Well 2:30 gets there and of course the PM guy is going home so guess who the higher ups come to yes me. Know I am good enough to be a mechanic and that is what I told them to I didn't care if I got into trouble or not. I got so mad several times that I about started to cry and just go home but I need the extra dough too much. So I try to be positive and go work with the gentlemen that came into work on it. And he is like thanking me because what we did in an hour and half took him and PM Jerk 6hrs to do because PM Jerk would up and leave him. and so forth.

Than I did work today which my acid reflux is still getting to me and I don't feel like eating because of it who want to shove more food down your throat when it already feels like there is some. But my co-worker that accused me Sunday is there today on OT just like me and she makes a point to come up to me. Yes she is being kinda of friendly but she is being catty. I can tell she just wants to rear back and knock the crap out of me. Nice huh... I Hate My Job.

I have one thing I am looking forward to those I work Thursday-Sat.. Plus one more day of OT on Sunday and than I am on Vacation. So thankful. It might not be much but I am going to CKC Tulsa
I am going up Friday early morning and staying until Sunday. This will be my third year to attend Tulsa so happy... Well Phillip is going to come up after he gets off of work on Friday and spend the weekend in Tulsa with me. I can't wait for this...

Went in today to have my thyroid scan. On the ultrasound they detected several nodules. Which can be something or might not be anything at all. Now to wait to hear back from my doc for the results which can take three days. Then to see where we go next.

On a happier note I have been scrapping again. I have done three pages since Sunday. The page that I did today was for the B challenge over at My Sketch World. I still need to do A which is adorn a card. It feels really great to be scrapping again. Plus I have been avoiding Facebook Games because I rather be scrapping my pics than wasting time.

Since I finally got me a new laptop that is all mine. Plus we are now on high speed internet connection so I don't have to worry about fighting to get online anymore maybe keeping up with my blog will be a lot more easier. Plus I can download all of my pics from my camera a lot more easier. I have a few to share from over the months... I have some of my new baby Diamond Dog. She is a Mini Australian Shepard Phillip got her for me for Christmas she is so beautiful. Plus she will also give me something else to be able to scrap about. She has grown alot over the past 5 months.

I hope to get these pics printed out this next week so I can get to scrapping them.

I can't believe how long it has been that I have been on here a lot has happened. My aunt pulled through her open heart surgery she feels better but not what she did a prior to 2008. But she has been blessed with so much.

Phillip finally made up with his Dad's side of the Family we spent the christmas holiday with them the only bad thing about it was that when we left we didn't leave quick enough and ended up getting stuck in Texas for two days because of snow and I fell down a flight of stairs my wrist is still bothering me but it will get better.

Phillip finally proposed to me after 7 long years of course I said YES. Know I have started trying to figure out what to do I sort of wanted to get married in mid November but make it just a tad bit earlier in October.

I know I need to get my butt moving again and posting pics and so forth on here and get back to scraping I miss it. I am slowly losing my appeal to facebook and the other thing that might help is getting a laptop back. It helps having a computer that you can take around the house with you...

Since I last posted on this thing. Guess that is because I have found a new obsession FaceBook. I wish I had Known how addictive that place can be. I am playing Mafia Wars, Sorority Life, Pirates, Farmville, Farmtown, Pet Society, and YoVille.

I should be doing more scrapping since my kits are piling up again as well as pics. I miss scrapping and visiting my message boards.

Kids started back to school last week and our enjoying school so far. Tracie has already had two class projects due. A test on Friday. A leaf project to be due in Biology at the end of the month. Alton is going to be in band this year playing the trumpet.

I start my first day of subbing for the school year tomorrow. I will be teaching 8th grade Algebra. Hopefully the kids won't be to terrible. then off to work my real job on Thursday.

My Aunt is doing fine at the moment but she is scheduled to have open heart surgery on Sept. 8 Pray for her and me that everything goes great.

Already August

The month of July seemed to fly by for me. I did work a bunch of overtime more than I wanted but the extra funds did help some.

18 more days until school starts for my kids they are both super excited about going back. I am super excited because I have less than 20 days until CKC Tulsa. Hopefully this year will be better than last year.

I have done a few pages that I need to get posted from kits that I got from LP and ScrapAttack scrapbooking. Plus I want to show off my RAK of goodies that I received from KateB. She sent my paper and embellishments for Christmas, Fall and Halloween how cool huh....

Monday I am going to the doctor to get my Gallbladder scan because I have not been feeling too much like myself lately. Which sort of is a good thing because my Cat Zoey bit me yesterday on the thumb. She punctured two holes into my thumb and it is red and infected. I have been washing it out and putting triple antibotic on it but it looks like it is swelling and the redness is going or spreading farther. So I hope that this gets better on its own but if it looks bad on Monday after the scan I will be going to see my doc to see what I might need to do. So pray for me that it heals on its own.

I hope to get to scrap some this week and get some of the great layouts that I have done posted. Maybe even do a RAK as well....

Thought I would share a few New Mexico pics again. Still haven't printed them off....

I got today off since it was a holiday but they have made us in the past work the 4th. Me and Phillip went to bed by 10 last night he got up this morning because he had to work. I on the other hand slept in till 11. I got up and cleaned the kitchen and put a load of laundry in the wash. Phillip got home at 11:30 he is working a weird shift today 7am-11am than back at 7pm-11pm. The reason being is they are having a concert at the casino tonight I forget who it is but anyway they want to make sure they have extra security there. I am hoping to get to go back with him to work if not I will either spend it cleaning more or I might just scrap.

I got to feeling icky today. I have been eating better but I don't know I might be eating to much fruit. For breakfast I had apple cinnamon oatmeal and a strawberry yogurt with water. Than at lunch I had a Dr. Pepper to drink with salad and Ravioli. Another Dr. Pepper and Red grapes, strawberries and a Banana. Then another Dr. Pepper.

I felt like lighthead and just funny. Other than that my day was okay.

Our garden is producing green beans faster than I can pick them. The corn is not looking that great those. Our squash is barely making it as well. We have tomatoes fixing to be ripe, but the sun has been cooking them. We also have baby watermelon growing.

I bought one of those Pledge Fabric Sweeper yesterday and used it today. It is supposed to pick up cat and dog hair. We have 2 cats so I thought I would give it a try since my black cat zoey has been shedding like crazy. It takes a little to get use to using it but it does pick up the cat hair. I was using a lint roller but that used up lots of sheets so this does work a lot better.

I got to play a little with my scrap supplies today but didn't get a chance to finish my layout.

Big Lots

I went to Big Lots yesterday because one of the boards that I am on said, they had Thickers. So I go to my Big Lots and score 14 packs of Thickers for only $2.00 a piece. They had several different styles of Thickers to choose from. I would have bought more but Phillip was with me so I was being good. I plan to go back in a week to get some more hopefully the selection is still good.

Me and Phillip went to the mall and walked around while we were their we stopped and got Cherry Coke Iccees and Pretzels. Phillip got the plain with cheese dip and mine was a cinnamon sugar pretzel.

The kids are still with the ex but this is the first time he has taken them for his summer visitation.
I am missing them but this is the first time that me and Phillip have gotten to spend quality time with each other. There is no Mom he/she did this or that aren't you going to punish them. The house is really quite. The kids dislike being with their Dad. Which is really strange because he doesn't get onto them or make them eat things they wouldn't normally eat.

I got to scrap last night and have been working on another page this morning. I have been procrastinating a bunch. I still need to get my New Meixco pics and someones I took before that developed. But I have been dreading going because it can be so time consuming. Maybe I will finally break down and go Saturday on the 4th. I would also like to move my scrap room around but have been putting it off because of all the stuff I would have to move. It is cleaner in there and I can sit at my desk without having to move anything.

Long Day again

I got up early this morning so I could get my Aunt and take her to the hospital. She was scheduled to have a scope done today to check her heart out they did an esophageal electrocardiogram.

They found out her heart is back out of rhythm again. I took her less than 3 weeks ago on a Monday and they shocked it back into rhythm but it didn't stay. Totally sucks. They also found out the her Right Atrium is larger than it is supposed to be and she has a hole in heart. The hole in her heart is a birth defect. The doctor said we all have holes in our heart prior to being born it is what or how we exchange oxygen before we start breathing because our lungs do not work. Anyhow after we are born and we take our first breath the hole is supposed to shut and seal permanently but hers didn't do that. Not sure what they will do to repair it yet. She goes back in a week to see the doctor that ordered the test and he will let her now where they will go.

After getting out of there she was hungry so I took her to Olive Garden to eat.

Well I went to Hobby Lobby today and got two packs of thickers. They were half off so it was like buy one get one free. I got the yellow vinyl and orange fabric thickers. After going to Hobby Lobby I went to Michaels they didn't have anything new but they did have some of the bottles of prima's on sale only bad thing is that the only color left Fresh Green. I just wish I could have gotten some of the other colors but they were already sold out.

I did snatch up 4 bottles of the Fresh Green Iced Got Flowers so I will be sending a bottle with a few other yummys to the lucky winners that I draw from my RAK drawing. I will be posting on Wednesday the lucky winners.

I also went to the Casino today I know I shouldn't have went but I had a feeling. I went in with $40 and came out with $300. I played one of my fav's put 5 into it and cashed out at $40. Then I went and played a couple more and lost $20. As I was leaving I put $10 in the $1 machine and was betting only a dollar. It kept going up and down and I had it up to $100 when one of the girls at the Casino that I know came over to talk to me before I knew it I had it down to $20 and I was like crap I should have cashed out. Well I hit the spin button again and the screen turned red and spun 7 times and I hit it for $300. I cashed out and left. Me and Phillip ended up going to TGIFridays for dinner tonight with the winnings. It was great I even drank two Strawberry Daquirs.

RAK

I have been thinking about this all day at work about doing a few Raks for people that have been commenting on my blog in support of the SAS Blog Hop. At the moment I am not sure how many. I was thinking if I get 100 comments by the 22nd of June I would pull 4 names. I will try to post something Sunday as to what the Raks will be that I give away. Sorry that I am being a tease but I just got home. I get off of work at 7pm, I work a 12 hr shift and I have to work tomorrow but I have Sunday off so sometime in the day I will be gathering up what I am going to give away for the Rak.

After I got off of work today I had to jump in the shower quickly because Phillip was taking me out to eat with his friends that he works with. We were supposed to meet them at 8:00 so I was very rushed but it was a great dinner and his friends were really great. We went to the GREEN PAPAYA in Fort Smith, Arkansas it is a Vietnamese cuisine. I got the BO LUC LAC which is pan-seared diced tender beef with garlic sauce. Served with Fresh Vegetables. This stuff was awesome and I can't wait to go back and get some of it again.

I got up this morning when Phillip left for work but crawled back into bed and slept until 11:00. I finally got up to my kids arguing at each other over whose turn it was to be on the computer. So me and the kids did a few things around the house and left for a late lunch. We ate at Big Jakes in Van Buren they are a steak house but serve lots of various other things besides steaks. Me and Alton both got the Cheeseburger and Fries while Tracie ate the Grilled Chicken sandwich with Baked Potato. It is sad it is cheaper to eat at Big Jakes than Mc Donalds or any other Fast Food chain. And the food and atomsphere is better as well.

We also caught a movie today. I haven't been to the movie theater since seeing Twilght which was sort of a bomb compared to the book. But anyway we seen Land of the Lost with Will Ferrell in it. This was a pretty good movie not too bad to take the kids to see. It stayed funny and interesting the whole time. After watching the movie the kids Dad got them back for the weekend.

And I headed home to Phillip. We had Salad for supper tonight which was awesome. Then for dessert we had watermelon. Gotta Love Summer...

I slept in till 11:30 so I am feeling lots better catching up on my zzzz's.

I got my kiddos back today they have been with there Dad for a couple of weeks. They are telling me how their Dad has been torturing them. I am glad to have them back today. Their Dad had to do something today so I am going to keep them for the night and give them back to him on Wednesday. This is the 1st time since we have been divorced that he has kept the kids for his 6 week visitation.

We are fixing to take some of Altons old clothes down to the resale shop and a few household items that I had bought long ago and just have never used here in our home. It is nice to dejunk the house. After that we might go get something cold to drink and walk downtown Van Buren. I also need to stop by the local scrap store to get adhesive for my glue gun. They have it cheaper there than Hobby Lobby. Or we might go to the Park. I need to get my pics downloaded from New Mexico I might do that when I take the kids back to there Dad Wednesday.

Another long day

I got up this morning at 5:00 to take my Aunt to the Hospital after waiting since January they finally shocked her heart back into rhythm. I know they said that is could go back out again but I am hoping that it doesn't do that and she will start feeling better. If everything goes well we will be back up at the hospital in about a month so they can do a scope of some type of heart to see what has been going on in there. The doctors could not do anything as of yet because her heart has been in AFib (sp). The last echocardigram they did on her should that she had leaky valves and a possible hole in her heart. She has problems breathing so I am hoping that they can get everything fixed for her. It is no fun feeling bad.

I have been feeling a little under the weather as well tonight I have been having some slight chest pains the doc said it was probably GERD and told me to take 2 prolosec that did help for about 2 hours but i sort of feel the pain coming back. Like I said I know I need to start taking better care of myself. I know I have noticed I have been coughing at night. When I was looking up at Heartburn, or Acid reflux, Gerd it talked about coughing for no apparent reason. I know having chest pain starts making me freaked out because I worry that I am suffering from heart problems.

Before this even happened we went to walmart and bought some Fruits and Veggies to start eating. I told Phillip that we need espcially me get back into shape and start eating right. We are 37 and it is only start going to go downhill from here. I exercised Thrusday, Friday and Sunday. I am going to skip tonight since I have been feeling down. But if I feel okay in the morning i am going to exercise on the bike.

I got a Rak in the mail today from Lauri at ScrapAttack Scrapbooking. I remember putting in for the papers that I wanted the Rak but just didn't realize that I had won until today. Thanks Lauri they are terrific. It is great getting something that you don't even know you are getting. It was a pleasant surprise.

Well I need to start losing weight since Christine death I have put on about 15 more pounds. I had the nurse check my blood pressure today it was 140/88 she said that wasn't too bad but it was back in Sept of last year 105/70. My blood pressure has always been low but the last several months it has been going up. I have been at time finding it difficult breathe when I start doing things. So today when I got home from work I rode my exercise bike. It is funny how you know you are putting on weight but lose the drive to go anywhere or doing anything about it.

We moved the excercise bike into the living room tonight so I could start riding it while watching T.V. I rode it tonight for about 20 minutes I thought I better start off slowly. And work my way up to longer time of riding.

19 years tomorrow

Tomorrow is my 19 year anniversary at Dixie Cup. I started June 4, 1990 just three days after graduating from High School. It is hard to believe I have been at my first job for that long. I have worked a few other places when I got laid off from Dixie but when I got recalled I would always go back. Like most jobs it can be a real major pain, but the money is great and for the most part the people I work with are so caring. I had told Phillip over the weekend that I had wanted to go into the military but just didn't because of an ex boyfriend back in high school. I wanted to stay out so I could be close to him. Anyway I told Phillip you know if I would have went into the military I would probably still be serving I would have made it a life. I am just that sort of person. But I am glad I chose the path that I did because I have two wonderful kids. And found a wonderful boyfriend that one day soon I can call my Husband. Anyway time has gone by pretty fast but than again some of the time I worked just dragged by. I am glad that I lucked into such a wonderful job. While others don't or not as fortunate as I have been.

Today I didn't do much other than clean the house. Since the kids are gone I shampooed their carpets and have been cleaning. Right now I am concentrating on Alton's room I went thru his closet and got all the clothes out that he couldn't wear and rewashed them. I plan to take them down Tuesday to the resale shop.

Well I go back to work after being off for 11days. I hope that it doesn't drag by the 1st day at least it is a 3 day week that I am going back on. Hopefully nothing will break down on me to have to fix.

Thanks Maggi.... You gals mean the world to me. I felt terrible yesterday evening. Some of it was that I didn't eat anything until 3:00 than I ate too much. Plus I think I took my medicine to early started feeling like I could throw up, was having problems breathing, and so forth. I know I was feeling stressed so some of it was that as well. I am taking it easy today I have done a few loads of laundry and when it cools off here in a little while going to weed the garden it is like way terrible.

We are back home today. Very tired we were missing our cats and our own bed so we cut our trip short and headed back home. We were in Phillips car which sits low to the ground which isn't the best to take out in the desert. We plan to go back next year when we get a Truck and go and see things that we didn't get to see this year. I

It was a great vacation though.

But it made me think about how much I miss my sis Christine. I could not share with her the things I seen or anything. I miss her so badly it is so not fair. I know I have my kids and phillip but it is not the same as having my sister back. So for me if you have a sis or a bro tell them how much they mean to you. My mother died several years ago so I don't have her to turn to either about anything. I just feel so lost at the moment but I will be okay life has to go on.....

Carlsbad New Mexico

Wow. We went and seen the Carlsbad Caverns today. If you have never been you need to go there. I will say that you also need to wear a pair of shoes that fit right. I am hoping that I can walk tomorrow. The caverns go into the ground 750ft. down. I have a bunch a pictures. SOme of them did not turn out that great those. When we left the caverns it started raining. It even had hail in it. We are headed to Rosewell, New Mexico know. We are going to spend the night and get up the next morning and do some more exploring. Plus Rosewell has a scrapbook store ever girls dream.

Going on Vacation that is why I am leaving town. My kiddos are going to stay with my step-sister one night and than they will finish out the week with their Dad. They get out of school Friday and are not happy with me and Phillip since we are leaving them behind while we go on vacation by ourselves. I will miss my kids but it is always important to go and do things without them sometimes. Later in the summer we are playing to go somewhere with them but we just wanted to make this a trip for ourselves.

We are going to Hobbs, New Mexico and the surrounding areas. I have never been there before so hopefully it will be a nice trip. Not to thrilled with the idea that he is talking about us camping out without a tent. We are going to bring our laptop with us so hopefully I can get on here and check in once in a while and maybe share some pics with you gals. Anyway I best get off here and finish cleaning my house some and getting packed up.

I registered for CKC Tulsa. I am taking 5 or 6 classes on Saturday. I didn't sign up to take any classes on Friday because I am volunteering to be a teachers assistant. I have never done this before so I hope that it doesn't suck to much and that it will be fun. I know I have heard some people say when they have gotten to volunteer that they have gotten class kits for the classes that they volunteered for. So that would be nice if not I am still going to have fun. I plan on paying for the Saturday Crop out of my compensation and maybe pick up another class Saturday. Wish me luck.

I cannot believe that it has been over a week since I last updated this thing...

I know I haven't been online lately at my favorite scrappy spots just haven't felt much up to the task. I will get back ladies don't give up on me. I have scrapped zero, zilch nothing since the first of May. And I miss touching my scrappy goodiness. I have gotten to clean my scrap area some. I have also done some much needed work outside and inside.

We leave next Tuesday to go to New Mexico. Wish me Luck because Phillip is talking about catching rattlesnakes to bring back with us. WHY YOU MIGHT BE WONDERING? Because they have to be alive in a sack so they will taste fresh when we EAT them. I don't know if he is joking or not. I hope that he is joking. Because if he does catch some rattlesnakes I will be going back home on a bus i will not ride in the car with him. I have never eaten snake nor do I want to... YUCK.... This is my First time to go to New Mexico. I hope the area we are seeing is nice.

We have a new pet its a bird called a Cocketail. Funny thing about our new pet he was outside in our front yard walking around. We asked the neighbors around the block if they had lost a bird but no one had so we now have a bird. We named him MAX. He is whistling the cat call tune. And he is saying pretty bird. Working on him saying Max. Our cats Zoey and Lauren like their new housemate as well. Zoey is scared of Max and Lauren wants to eat him. I had to go and buy Max a cage and bird food spent over $30 dollars on him. The bad thing is that the cage I got is not big enough for him. So when we get back from vacation we will get Max a new cage.

I have been going to my Aunts house and helping her clean some. I shampooed her carpet finally. I am sort of a clutz. The last two times I have went to my Aunts house and broke something by accident well you can guess I broke something this time her shampooer but I didn't tell her I did. I didn't want her to get mad at me. It really is not a big deal really. I will just have to take some tools with me next time. The hose that sucks the water back up is broke. So I am going to have to take that apart and reattach it. But if she knew she would have thrown a fit. I parked on her grass today barely and she was b at me.

I also took some clothes down to a newly opened resale shop. I have been holding on to some of these clothes for years just hoping that I would get back to that size. I give up on ever getting back there. I am not trying to sound like I give up on losing weight entirely just a lot of weight. I will be happy getting down 20 or 30 but to fit into these clothes that i am trying to resale I haven't been able to wear them in 15 years. Oh well. Maybe i can make a buck or two so i can have some scrappy money.

Other than that I have been cleaning up around my house and not trying to do too much. Off to working is fun for me tomorrow.

I subbed today 7-9 graders I cannot believe how kids are now today. I generally don't ever sub older kids because of the problems that they can be. I know half the time they don't even respect the real teacher in the classroom. The disrespect that kids have now a days is terrible. Where does it come from if I ever find out that my kids behave this way for a sub or any adult for that matter I would be ashamed to say the least and my kids would be grounded.

I took a cell phone away from one kid today and they were like my mom is going to be so mad at you. See if they have their phones out it goes to the office and the parent has to come and pick it up. I had warned her several times and told her if she needed to use the phone she needed to take it to the bathroom. But she didn't and after the 5th out I told her to bring it to me. I hate being mean to the kids but the way they act now in school you can't show them any kindness the meaner and uglier you are to them the better off you are so sad.

I have to go back and sub the same kids tomorrow I dread it. But after Tomorrow I go back to my regular job for the week. I probably won't sub anymore after tomorrow for this school year. I have two days next week I can sub Tuesday and Wednesday. Then the following week we are on vacation.

Other than that Phillip made me a nice grilled steak dinner, mashed potatoes and brown gravy... Yummy. I wish I could go scrap but my area is so messy that I need to get it in order before I try to scrap anything.

I spent my day at the casino. Didn't win anything those so that sort of sucked. Phillip is getting dressed than we are going to go see his mother. I get my kiddos back at 6 tonight. I don't really put much hype in mother's day anymore because my mom has been dead now for 11 years and my kids are too young to do much for me at the moment. Plus when they get older I don' t really think I want them to do much of celebrating the holiday. If they do I don't want them spending money I would rather have something handmade or help with something. I like winning stuff but I don't like being surprised with stuff in front of a whole lot of people.

I scrapped this weekend for NSD. But guess what I didn't upload any of it. I got 8 challenges done for SAS and 2 or three for Wescrap. But I got mad at Phillip because of different stuff and ended up getting off of the computer and not uploading and finishing the last ones I needed to for SAS. I got off of the computer and told him I wouldn't be scrapping unless the kids were not at home or asleep. He told me he didn't care I was scrapping but I just didn't like the way he was acting.

So I have been feeling down because of this. But I did it to myself. He didn't say I couldn't scrap but because of scrapping I have been neglecting some little things around the house. I can be really stubborn at times. So if you don't see me much online for a while that is what is going on.

Anyway today I went to my Aunt's house and cleaned it for her since she cannot because of her heart condition. I told her I would go back over there on Sunday and shampoo her carpets and doing some more cleaning.

Going to get off of her now so I can clean my house and do some work outside. I have to go back to my regular job tomorrow. I hope that it is an easy week.

I also have a few scrappy things that I want to do as well. I have been participating in the Wescrap Design Team Boot Camp and it is almost over with. We have one more final project to do which is a challenge to do our own online crop. I am in a group with 3 other wonderful ladies. Our crop name is going to be Red Hot Fiesta. It is going to be based on Cinco De Mayo. We are having fun with it. We have to have all of our stuff posted by the 30th of April but I hope to have it done by Tuesday at the lastest. This has been a fun experience if anything.

I have done quite a bit of scrapping this past week. I did online crops at My Sketch World and at BackPorch Memories. Next week Scrapattack is having an online crop as well as Wescrap. Which I will be checking out both of them to do some scrapping. I think I made about 20 layouts in the past week alone.

I colored my Aunts hair today. That was something that Christine would do for her. I have never done it before so I was a little scared that I would not do it right for her. She also brought me a box over that is supposed to go to my Father. It was from his Sister or My Aunt that lives in Illinios. He does not have contact with her. She sent the package to Christine house. Well it has been a while since I had talked to her because she said some Nasty things about different stuff. So I just cut my contact with her. Because no one deserves to be treated dirty for not doing anything.

Well she did not now that Christine had died. I feel bad in a way that she didn't know that it had happened but than again it was not really my fault. I tried to email her with the last known email addy I had. But it came back failed. So I went and googled her addy to look up her phone number and found it. So I called to let her know that Christine was no longer with us. She said why didn't anyone call me. And I said what was the truth. That I didn't think about anyone all I was doing was walking around in a cloud of disblief. So it felt nice to talk to her. I don't know but I thought about sending her a letter explaining why I was not having contact with her. That way I can get it off my chest.

Anyway other than that I have been relaxing most of my day.

My Aunt gave me an old photo album that was filled with my childhood memories.
This is one of the photos that I got out of it. I am the one in the white dress and my sister Tracie was the one in the blue dress. At first I was a little disappointed that it didn't show our faces but then again it was a great photo because I can remember how we all loved Easter. The egg hunts, the baskets filled with candy and stuffed animal that would be waiting on the porch that the Easter Bunny would drop off for us. The ham dinner that my granny would make with Mashed Potatoes and Brown gravy. I did this layout for a challenge on WeScrap.

This was a layout I did for the LP Cruise about Christine. The first layout I have done since she passed away.

I played a little with my blog today. I posted scrappy sites I go to. My fav's those are WeScrap, Life Preservers, and ScrapAttack Scrapbooking. Don't get me wrong the other sites are just as great but the ones above are easy to follow and the ladies at these sites are the warmest loving and caring women I know. I also want to put links up of the sketch sites that I have found and Blogs that I am following. This is a work in progress. I hope to start as well to post pics that I have taken. This blogging is all new and looking at the stuff you can add at times is a little confusing to me.

Me and Phillip cleaned up outside today and we also planted some Tomato plants. I thought it wasn't a great idea because the way the weather has been doing but he thought otherwise. So hopefully we won't have to buy some more plants because of a freeze.

It was nice getting outside. It made my brain not think of the bad stuff that has happened the last month. This weekend really wasn't a good one for me. I had wanted to get my final layout done for the LP Cruise but just didn't have the energy or will power to do it. Plus they were having a crop I popped in and out all weekend checking out things. They had many great challenges to do but I just didn't feel like messing with it. I hope that April will be a lot different and I can get back in the swing of things. I know with what happened to Christine will take a while to get used to but I hope to take next month and heal more.

Stinky Jeans

I bought a new pair of jeans the other day from Lane Bryant. They are a really dark stone wash. I smelled an odor but thought it was because they were new and it would be gone after I washed them. Well these stinky jeans have now been washed over 20 times and the smell still hasn't gone away. I asked the sales lady today at Lane Bryant what I could do to get the smell out and she was like it just has to wear out of them. Then she said how do you think I feel I am surrounded by that smell all day. I guess from now on when I buy a pair of jeans or for that matter any type of clothing I am going to smell it first. And if it stinks no matter how much I like it I am leaving it behind.

My Aunt gave me a scare last night. I kept calling and calling and she would not answer so I finally went over to her house about 9 pm to check on her to make sure she was okay. I pulled up just as she got home and she was like what are you doing here. I said checking to make sure you were okay. So I told her she needed to call me more so I could make sure she was doing okay. But that is not going that great because I told her to call me this morning but guess what I am the one that ended up calling her to make sure she was okay.

Last night was scared going over because I was afraid something might have happened to her. My Aunt Becky has been having problems since September with breathing. She had her heart checked and a stress test both come back perfect and a lung scan all came back great. Bump up to December 23 my Aunt Becky fell on her porch Christine went and got my Aunt and I met them up at the ER. We waited for 6 hours up there my Aunt in pain her Pinky finger was sticking off to the side. Well she was supposed to have surgery the first week in January to relocate her finger. Well she went in for the pre-op stuff and they found out that she had something wrong with her heart. She had leaky valves in her heart. Well since than right before christine died she spent a week in the hospital they ran some more test and found that she had a hole in her heart and her heart is in afib (sp). So she s now taking blood thinners to help thin out her blood so they can shock her heart back into rhythm. This past Friday she goes to have her blood check to make sure that it is staying thin enough when she finds out that they found something in the scan of her lungs. She doesn't have another scan until April 13 of her lungs. She has been really depressed saying with the quality of life she has at the moment is not worth living. I am trying to keep her spirts up but it is hard because she is like with as much as I got wrong with me I should have died before Christine.

My Aunt Becky gave me a photo album of old childhood photos of my family last night so I could copy off pictures. I bought a new photo album today so I can transfer the photos in there instead of the one that it is in now. The old album is one of those magnitic type you lay the pictures down across the page and a single sheet covers up the pics. I bought the album that has the individual sleeves and is acid free. I copied off about 30 pics today. As I copy off the photos in the old albums I will transfer the orgianals to the new album that I bought.

I have scrapped one layout since Christine died and it was for the Life Preserver Cruise. This is the last week of the cruise. This weekend they are having there Spring Fling Crop. I hope to do a few layouts for the crop. If you have never been to the Lp go check them out there is lots of wonderful ladies at the message board.

I also have to get busy the next couple of days on WeScrap and complete some of the March challenges. I signed up for another year on there message board. They have lots of fun challenges you can participate in but if you are not a member you cannot qualify for the prizes. They are having a Spring Crop on April 3, 4, and 5. WeScrap has an awesome group of ladies as well that make you feel at home on the board.

I got my Raks mailed off yesterday for ScrapAttack Scrapbooking. I hope to in the next week or so start doing the challenges over there. They have lots going on at their board very fun place and wonderful women. You can earn bottlecaps for doing challenges. They also have a store that is wonderfully stocked in my opinion and Lauri (the Owner) is getting great things in. The kit for this month has these adorable crochet owls she got off of Etsy.

I guess I better go and cook something for lunch.

I took my aunt out today to eat and let her be with me while I was doing some other errands. I got my eyes checked today. I didn't realize that I had not been to the eye doctor in 3 years. Time does really fly. I made that comment to the eye doc and he was like you know I got this explained to me once. When you are 10 years old a year is like 10% of your life but when you are 52 a year is more like 2% of your life.

Christine was always running our Aunt around everywhere or going out with her because the last few years I have been substitute teaching on my days off which our Mon-Wed. I go back to work tomorrow to my regular job but at least I am only having to work 3days this week. But my Aunt was talking a lot about christine today. It felt for me being the one that was having to do her running but I didn't mind doing it. It was really nice being out with her.

Next week is our spring break I think the only thing I will be doing with the kids is take the to chuck e cheese. Hopefully the weather is nice too so we can go to the work and be able to work outside in the garden. It would be really nice to plant a few flowers next week.

I also checked out a website my friend Danielle told me about. The information it held was very helpful to me since the recent loss of my sister. Staci Compher is a very inspiring women and how she has dealt with life since the tragic loss of her husband Ed. I know today has been a really nice day out really the last two days have been nice. I got to sit outside watching my cat gizmo who stays outside play and jump at bugs. It really made me feel at ease watching him and taking in the weather. The tulips are about to bloom. I sat there in the sun thinking about Christine a lot today. I know it will be a long time to get over the shock because when my Mom died 10 years ago it took me a long while to get over the fact and we expected my mom's death since she had cancer. Christine loved flowers, and trees. With Easter coming Christine would get those plastic eggs and hang them up in the trees in her yard. You could always go over to her house and she would have flags and things outside or inside for the matter on display for the holiday. She loved decorating things. I can't believe that I cannot pick up the phone and talk to her I wanted to today several times badly. We would talk on the phone usually 3 times a day when I was off of work but sometimes when it was my day to work I would generally get a call into her at least once that day.

When you lose someone it makes you and others around you realize things. Phillip and me having been living together for about 5 years. This made his realize that he doesn't want me going anywhere. Which before he didn't want me going anywhere than either but he is wanting to make more of a comminment to me and the kids. So only time will tell I am happy with the way things are and have been between us. But if Marriage comes along I will be very blessed and happy. I just wish Christine had been around to see.

I lost my sis a week ago and it just doesn't seem real still. I want to pick up the phone and talk to her so badly. I got a phone call shortly after getting to work on March 6 that she was gone. At first I was thinking okay where did she go then they said that she had died in the middle of the night in bed. My aunt didn't want to do an autopsy so it is really only speculation as to what happened. The cornory thought that she might of had a brain anyerism or a stroke. We had told him about her herina bothering her and she had a knot come up from her son hitting her a couple of weeks ago. She had told me she was having difficutly having BM. She also had told me over a few months ago about waking up and having her tongue sore because she had chewed it and her whole body was sore and that she could taste vomit in her mouth. I told her it sounded like a seizure but she wouldn't go to the doctor. She said she was making an appointment to go back to see the herina doctor but I guess it will be one of those things that we will never now. I now she is in a better place now because she did suffer from aches and pains associated with the hernia. Plus her two youngest kids can no longer abuse her.

Other than this happening just trying to learn how to cope with my loss. My aunt is doing okay she can hardly believe this happened just earlier in the week she was taken christine around the cemetary and showing her what stone she wanted for her tombstone and christine was like Becky would you stop it. Aunt Becky is upset because she was figuring she would go first not christine going first at the age of 40.

Hetic Week

It's been a little while since I posted. My Aunt is still in the hospital. I didn't look if I had already posted that she was in there. But let me recap my Aunt Becky has been having problems with her heart. Last Tuesday they finally were able to put her on blood thinners because they got her finger fixed. Well on Thursday her arm went numb and she fell down. My sister took her to the ER and they admitted her to the hospital. Since then they have been giving her shots in the stomach trying to get the level of the blood thinner higher. Did you know on blood thinners you have to limit your Vitamin K intake because it can cause clotting. Anyway they find out besides her leaky valves that she has a hole in her heart. Plus her heart is out of rhythm so they are going to have to shock it back but they can not do that until her blood is thinned out enough. So she has now been in the hospital for a week and becoming stir crazy.

I have been scrapping some. I got my Cruise Layout done for LP and I did the monthly Sketch Challenge. This is the first time that I have done the sketch. But that is an awesome sketch that was posted this month. So I am pretty happy about that. I have been scrapping like crazy the last few months feels good.

I have also been working on my Challenges for Fun Month on SAS I am about a 1/3 ways done with my challenges. I have to get to work on the regular ones as well. I hope that I can get a lot of scrapping done this weekend and get to where I need to be on SAS.

I have also almost finished my Feb. Challenges for WESCRAP. I have 2 more to do but I have until March 6 to get those done. It feels great to scrap. I know I am repeating my self but it does. I have been doing a lot of old photos. One of the reasons I didn't scrap before was because I didn't know where to start.

I need to get on here and edit my blog and add my favorites and things like that.

Scrap Attack Scrapbooking Fun Month 2-15 -- 3-15

I was looking for online crops because they have really given me the push to do some scrappen. I have wanted to do some other challenges but this past week was a rush and I didn't get to it. Well I guess another truth would be as well I procrastinated.

Anyway I stumbled on to ScrapAttackScrapbooking.com they are having a Fun Month type of crop with all kinds of challenges and games. If you say that I sent you and register I get a ticket. Another Online Crop

On Feb 20th weekend A cherry on top is having an online crop. I can't wait because I have gotten more scrapping done this past year then probably the last two years because of crops. I did go shopping today at the local scrappen store. I got caught a few of specialty papers that were scalloped or different edges. I got some more bling and a few other goodies. It is really nice having a scrapbooking store right down the road.

I have to start going through my photos so I can get some pics together to scrap. I have a few that need to be printed out but then again if I don't print out those maybe I will be more incline to get some of the older ones scrapped.

We went out tonight to celebrate Alton's bday. He picked a dining place called Shogun's its a Japanese steak place. They cook your food right in front of you. Alton ordered Steak and Chicken. Me and Phillip ordered Shrimp and Steak. You also get a salad, soup, fried rice. Afterwards we went and got ice cream. It was a great night. I even got to go to Hobby Lobby I picked up a new quickqutz die. It is specially made for Hobby Lobby its a Tree. They also had others but I just got that one. I was also going to pick up some more adhesive but they were sold out of what I needed they are having it on sell this week for 50%.

Scrapping away

I scrapped almost all weekend including today. I got about 11 layouts done. WEScrap was having an online crop I did 10 layouts for that sight at the moment I sort of feel scrapped out but not really. It felt really good to scrap. I have so much to scrap. In all there was 22 challenges, 5 games and 2 make and takes. Plus I worked this weekend both days so to get that much accomplished was great for me.
The other layout I did was for LifePreservers. I got my layout done so I got to board the boat we are now in Barbados and I am having fun with everyone. I really like the Pina Colada they have here yum.

Know I need to work on this weeks assignment for LP so I can stay onboard and continue the journey with everyone else.

I would have liked to have participated in a challenge that Danielle was doing but I didn't have time trying to do the WEScrap challenges today. Plus I did something new.

One of my things this year is to try some new things so I did I signed up for a quilting class. I have never quilted. The class I am taking is called Turning Twenty. You have to buy 20 different fat quater squares. These squares are cut in 4 different sizes then mixed up around the quilt. Another new item for me is using my sewing machine. We took it out of the box it has only been in the box for about a year. So tonight I was shown how to set up my sewing machine and I also cut my fat quaters in the four different sizes.

Well my Aunt went into day to get her finger fixed again today. She broke her pinky finger 12-23 in four different places well they were supposed to have fixed it before now but she had some complications arise. She has been having breathless spells off and on for about a year they have slowly progressed to where she cannot even walk three steps without being out of breath. Well right before they were going to do surgery they had here do some pre-op test and found out that her heart has a leaky valve. What is sad about it was that about mid november she had a stress test and it showed nothing wrong with her. It was when she was given an echo gram of her heart that it was found. Plus she has had numerous EKG but it showed up this time as well. So she has waited over 6 weeks to have surgery because her blood pressure all of a sudden went uncontrollable. She went to have surgery on it about two weeks ago but her blood pressure wouldn't go down so they couldn't do the surgery. Well today they were able to fix her finger. Luckliy they didnt have too cut her finger and put a rod in it. The doctor was able to pull it back into joint or place. At least this way it won't be as hard for her to get over and there is not a chance of infection. Know that she has this fixed the heart doctor will be able to do something. So hopefully she will start feeling better sooner.

Well I am still procrastinating about getting my page down for the LP cruise. I was very bad today but I didnt go to bed last night either till late but I slept in till 12. I did get up this morning though to see the kids off to school so I didn't totally sleep straight through either. I did get my taxes done today so I don't have to worry about that anymore. I got Tracie's haircut today as well. It has been about two months since I took her to get it cut and it was looking really shaggy. Tracie tickles me because this time she was telling the hairdresser make it curly. The last time she got her hair cut she was like I don't like curly hair I want straight.

Alton spent some of his bday money on a video game. He put the change in his jacket pocket which was hanging out I am glad I looked down because he had money about to fall out of his pocket so I took it away from him until we got out of the store. Then while we were in the store he kept playing with the box and I ask where is the reciept of course he lost it somewhere in Walmart so him and Tracie go back and retrace their steps to find it. I don't understand why they didn't staple the receipt to the bag but they finally found it.

Well I guess I better get off of here and try to figure out what I am going to do for my scrapping layout.

Alton turned 11 today I cannot believe how big my baby is getting I will try to load some pics here hopefully tomorrow. We had spaghetti instead of hot wings tonight for Alton's bday. My step-dad and his wife and my step-sister and my step nephew came over to help celebrate Alton's bday.

I didn't get much accomplished today since I subbed this morning I was hoping to work on my layout for the cruise I am taking with Life Preservers scrapbook club. I am really glad that Von and Frank are doing this I don't even care to win it will just help me to do some scrapping. I love doing the crops for this reason it helps me get inspired to scrap.

I have been trying to clean my scraproom again. It almost feels like a lost cause but I will eventually get it done. I have a new reason though to get it clean. The Life Preserver Scrapbook board is going to have some type of challenge or something so that should really get me to scrappen.

I went to Michaels today I wanted to get some more organization things with a 50% coupon I had but I didn't because they had organization on sale for 30% so you cannot use a coupon on sale items.

Alton's Bday is coming up he is turning 11. So we are going to have Cake and Ice Cream with a few family members. After they leave Phillip will make hot wings Alton's favorite food.

I guess I will get off here and go back to cleaning...

Lazy cold day

Should be up doing housework but instead I have been on the internet all day following the Making Memories blog trying to win a prize while they were live from CHA winter. Nope I didn't win anything but it was fun trying. I have also the last day or so been on other scrappy sites posting to try to win some prizes as well. Maybe I will get lucky that way if not I hope that everyone that does have fun.

We have had snow and ice the last couple of days today it almost all melted off. I have to go back to work tomorrow so hopefully the weather will be good and not do anything else. That way the kids will go to school if not I might have to miss and I don't want that for the pocketbook.

I was going to clean and organize my scrap space but didn't get to it oh well. It will be their for another day.
