Welcome to the Spice & Sugar Sketch A Thon!

Getting back to Normal

Or at least that is what I am hoping for in my life.  The last few months have been filled with lots of stress and anxiety for me and hoping that they are behind me and I can learn to control how I react in the future better.  My ex husband caused me to have to file bankruptcy because he went into foreclosure on his house.  When we got divorced almost 10 years ago the lawyer said all I had to do was quick claim him the house and I would no longer be responsible.  Well that isn't the truth.  But I have this behind me I went to court last week over it.  I overreacted because I was worried the judge might rule something weird but he didn't.

Than I was also facing my daughter leaving the house to go off to school two and half hours away.  I have been bent out of shape because of this for the last few months as well.  I get worried something will happen to her or she wont make the right choice.  But I have slowly started to let go and realize that I raised her right and the choices she makes have to be her own and she needs to learn from her mistakes so she can grow.

Finally just worried about everything and anything.  And when this happens I procrastinate about everything.
Here is to being better.

Up In The Clouds..

Paper Issues challenge this month is to use clouds, planes, birds, stars, rainbows...RAINBOWS!

Here is my take on the challenge...

I dug into my stash and used up some old Basic Grey paper that I got in a kit several years ago.

Do You Ever?

Well I have been working on somethings for 2 Broke Girls.  Well I have 4 layouts done which I know one of them was for my April Challenge.  Another one was for a March challenge.  The other 2 I am not sure what I created them for.  Do you ever have this problem?  I generally write on the back of my layouts what I was doing  but this time I didn't.  UGH... 

Tomorrow is Easter.   My sister's kids will hunt eggs but mine are too old for the hunt.  I did make my kids and Hubby baskets, you can never be too old to get a basket from the Easter Bunny.    We are also having a potluck dinner with our parents.

2 Broke Girls

So I decided I would go ahead and enter the DT tryout for 2 Broke Girls.  I did two different layouts using the sketch I thought I post the one I am not submitting for the challenge.  I had a lot of fun playing with the sketch. 

Paper Loft March Sketch challenge

Today while on Facebook a status update popped up for Paper Loft.  Paper Loft is doing monthly sketch challenge.  I decided that I would dig out the paper I got from Tulsa CKC to use on this challenge.  I used the Funkysaurus line of paper on my layout of my son Alton being goofy.

An end to a short month

So thankful that today is the end of February, lots of stressful things have happened this month that I will be so happy to leave behind.  One of the things that happened to me was I got served papers because of my ex-husband is in default on his house.  When we got divorced I left him with the house and quit claimed him my interest in the house.  I just wanted away, well big mistake because my attornery never said anything like this would come back on me.  After 10 years of being divorced my ex is still sticking it to me.  So I got another attornery not going back to the one that allowed this to happen.  Well I have two options and both of them stink but going Bankrupt is the best solution my attornery tells me.  The sad thing is I feel sorry for my ex how stupid am I.  He hasn't given me child support for almost a year which isn't much to begin with because he can't afford it.  He lost his job because of the economy and the new job he finally got pays him a 1/3 of what he used to make.

I had surgery Friday for a partial hysterectomy which stressed me out because I don't like hospitals and everything else that goes along with it.  The whole money issue of paying for the surgery having to be off work without earning money for seven days before my S&A benefits kick in.  Than hoping that I am fully healed when I get sent back to work and don't suffer complications down the line. 

Plus other little things popped up here and there but with these things going on I didn't feel like scrapping at all this month.  I did awesome the month of Janaury I got at least 10 layouts done so hopefully March will it has to be better.  I am going to make it be the best and get my scrapping on more this month. 

My baby is 15

Today my youngest celebrated his 15th Birthday.  Feel kinda of sad that he is growing up so fast but than I really enjoy seeing my baby turn into an awesome individual.  We treated him by taking him to Fuji's, a Japenese steakhouse he loves that place because they put on a show while cooking your food.  I love you Alton..

. 

 

I have tried to scrap the last few days but just don't really have the mojo for scrapping. I thought with the new challenges at Colorful Creations I would whip through some layouts but haven't been able to do it. I only have done 2 of them out of 6 that I thought I would have done. Some of it is that I get old scrapbook kits out trying to use up and just don't know what to do with it. Than the other part is I just don't like the limits I feel like the challenge is putting on me. Maybe tomorrow after work I can get a page done

 

 

Colorful Creations...

A new month of challenges have been posted over at Colorful Creations.  If you haven't joined there site click the link on the side of my page to join today.  You will get plenty of scrapping done with these ladies besides the monthly challenge they have they also do bi-weekly ones as well. 
I am off this weekend so I am planning on working on several of the challenges they have posted. 

This weekend is also my son Alton 15th Bday so I hope that I can get lots of great pics of him and family.  Today I took him lunch and a cookie to school.  Love being able to do that for my kids. 

Well I spent today cleaning in my scrappy room.  I took a few pics but for some reason the insert pic image is not working...

2013 A New Year

I want to accomplish a lot of things this year.  With one of them being finally getting my scrappy space organized.  It is generally a catch all place for everything my family likes to throw in my area since it is right off of the laundry room and pantry. 

Another is being more active on my blog.  Posting more of my layouts I do for my self personally and the ones I have done for challenges at different online scrappy places I visit. 

Talking about scrapping I have done 2 layouts this year here is one of them.
This layout is for one of the challenges over at http://colorfulcreations.ning.com/ .  This challenge is called For the Boys. They have several neat challenges this month. 

Then of  course there is always that resolution to get into better shape which losing weight would be great but being able to walk or run a few miles without feeling winded would be awesome as well..
